He has more than 20 years of practice from Oslo University Hospital where he performed general hand surgery, lots of micro- and reconstructive procedures as well as congenital cases (national center). He had a fellowship in 1997-1998 at the Biomechanics Lab at the Mayo Clinic, USA, where his main focus was on the distal radioulnar joint. This was also the topic of his thesis.
He is now working in private practice in Oslo, Oslo Hand Center (an IWC Center), at C Medical, downtown Oslo. He is past President of the Norwegian Society for Surgery of the Hand (where he is an honorable member), past President of the Scandinavian Society for Surgery of the Hand, past Secretary General of the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society (EWAS) and is the current chair of the Teaching committee of IWAS.
