Jikang Park Associate Professor, Orthopedic Surgery, Chungbuk National University College of Medicine, Chungbuk National University Hospital

Jikang Park
I completed my education at Chungbuk National University in Korea and underwent a specialized hand fellowship in 2009, mentored by Dr. Young Keun Lee and Dr. Sang Hyun Woo. My training encompassed advanced wrist surgery techniques from Dr. Young Keun Lee and intricate flap surgery procedures from Dr. Sang Hyun Woo. I currently hold a position as a associate professor of orthopedic surgery at Chungbuk National University Hospital in Korea. My primary areas of interest are wrist arthroscopy and the Wide-Awake Local Anesthesia No Tourniquet (WALANT) surgical procedure. At the AAOS 2019 Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, USA, I had the opportunity to present my research titled "The Clinical Results of Arthroscopic Bone Grafting and Percutaneous K-wires Fixation for Management of Scaphoid Nonunion" and "Is the Wide-Awake Approach for Open Carpal and Cubital Tunnel Release Surgery Viable?". For over a decade, I've actively practiced as a hand surgeon, always striving to integrate academic research to enhance the medical care I provide to my patients at our institution.
