For injuries around the wrist, conservative treatment is as important as surgical treatment, if not more important especially at the acute stage of injury. Many injuries around the wrist can be treated solely with conservative treatment with excellent outcomes. And as a competent surgeon and rehabilitation specialist, we must be familiar with the concept of both fields. For this topic, we aim to explore the conservative treatment options for common injuries and pathology around the wrist, including distal radius fracture, scaphoid fracture, metacarpal fracture, TFCC injury, scapholunate ligament injury…etc. We will share our experience, discuss consensus and common protocol and compare with evidence from literature to provide better medical information for our patient when faced with multiple treatment options.
