Lunate dislocations are uncommon wrist injuries, they are usually related to high-energy trauma. Although timely diagnosis and treatment are critical to the outcomes, it is still unfortunately common to treat misdiagnosed lunate dislocation cases. Here we report a two-year-old misdiagnosed lunate dislocation case treated with K-wire fixation and ligament reconstruction. Successful function outcome was archived two years after surgery. Although long term function outcome is still uncertain, we think a strong dorsal ligament fixation including proximal row and capitate bone played an important role for a better function outcome.
