The principles of treatment for distal radius fractures are the same as those for any other articular or periarticular fracture: anatomic reconstruction, stable fixation, and early motion. For the ideal fixation which can maintain satisfactory reduction and allow early motion to avoid joint stiffness and disuse atrophy, many kinds of fixation devices have been applied. In the management of complex intra-articular comminuted fractures, there is considerable difficulty in the reduction of all the fragments and obtaining stable fixation. Authors applied several kinds of locking plate including juxta-articular plate and through volar approach in most cases. In this presentation, I would like to share my personal experience regarding management of complex Intraarticular distal radius fractures and possible complications.
